Eric Szustak

Eric Szustak, CPA, CA

President, CEO & Director

Mr. Szustak is President and CEO of Canadian Polish Business Association, Inc. a Federally incorporated Non-Profit Corporation. Mr. Szustak is a Chartered Public Accountant, CA with over 35 years of financial service, business development, marketing, accounting, and CFO experience. His background includes 14 years with three national brokerage firms Midland Walwyn, Merrill Lynch and BMO Nesbitt Burns in various positions, including private client wealth group, management and securities compliance.

Mr.Szustak is the Chairman of the Board Quinsam Capital Corporation, which is a Public merchant bank based in Canada. Mr Szustak holds a B.A. Honors Chartered Accountant Studies and Economics from the University of Waterloo and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1985.

In addition to his volunteer duties at this organization, Mr. Szustak is President of Wawel Villa Retirement homes. He is a Founder and Director of Mississauga Polish Days Festival.

Mr. Michael Kwadrans is a sales consultant and communications specialist. He has over 10 years of experience in leadership, management, project management, and business development and sales experience working for global technology leaders.

Michael has worked closely with the Polish community for close to 20 years with a number of organisations including Copernicus Lodge and Ekran Toronto Polish Film Festival and for the past couple of years and the newest addition as the VP of the Canadian Polish Business Association. Michael has been very successful in strategizing with the Executive Team and Board of Directors to organise very productive and business focused networking events for the local and international community and bringing on and supporting Polish and European startups and global companies looking to expand their business and capabilities to Ontario, Canada and North America with the CPBA.

Michael has an honours degree in International/Global studies from York University in Toronto including the International Business Program from the Cracow University of Economics.

Mark Rabinski serves as the President of the Vancouver branch of the Canadian Polish Business Association. He is an accomplished international commodities trader with a global reach, specializing in agricultural products, metals, and oil. Mr. Rabinski is renowned for his ability to connect businesses and build extensive networks. With a deep understanding of trade dynamics, he leverages his vast network to facilitate business expansions, offer strategic advice, and arrange customized financing solutions that foster growth and success.

In addition to his expertise in commodities, Mr. Rabinski is a dedicated real estate investor. He skillfully manages investment risks and possesses a sharp eye for identifying profitable opportunities in specific real estate markets.

Michelle is the President and lead practitioner of Akashic Communications Corp., an international consultancy focusing on sustainability strategies and reporting, social performance, human rights, and psychological health and safety in the workplace.

A recognized sustainability/ESG specialist with 30 years of experience in mining/resource and finance sectors, Michelle’s reputation as a sought-after, resourceful, and strategic leader, subject matter expert in sustainability stewardship, human rights due diligence, occupational H&S, and enterprise risk management - alongside her knowledge of capital markets and extensive experience with corporate governance requirements - make her a valuable addition to leadership teams.

Michelle joined the Canadian Polish Business Association in June of 2024 and was serendipitously able to extend her considerable experience in the sustainable development sector to support the CPBA and its participant companies during the Sept/Oct Sustainable Cities Trade Mission: Poland & Ukraine.
